The second best place to invest money in your home is the bathrooms. Most important is the master bathroom. Your day begins and ends in this room. When you can start your day in a relaxing beautiful atmosphere, your are more likely to have a more peaceful mind. Then when you are ready to retire the day, ending on that same note is priceless. What would make this room better? Perhaps the layout just doesn't work. Or the flooring, fixtures and lighting need to be updated. Sometimes we just crave a personal retreat without having to go to a fancy, expensive hotel and only get to enjoy it for a few days. These days you have so many options at so many different price points. This means you can have the room you want. The selections are endless and can be overwhelming. So what matters to you most?
First, write down all your problems with the current kitchen. Then, write the things you like (if any) about the kitchen. Next, jot a list of your ideas of how to improve it and a list of materials your are interested in incorporating into this room. This information will be very useful when you sit down with your contractor. Nothing is left out in the initial visit. Of course things will be added or revised, but this gives you a great jumping off point in your exciting transformation.
